The VanGuard Data OTDR Emulator is a software OTDR simulation tool that is is able to provide the real experience of operating an OTDR without the need for expensive hardware or fiber lengths, its perfect for the complete training experience either on-line or in a classroom.

Based on advanced mathematical modeling techniques and a realistic graphical display, the traces are created in a virtual environment so the application is not limited by the physics of real fiber testers. The VanGuard Data OTDR Emulator is the most complete OTDR simulation tool available, the students can set parameters and take traces in real-time then analyses the results, not just inspect saved traces from a library of results.
