OTDR Emulator - The Virtual Test Optic Fiber.

Even for those that are fortunate enough to have regular access to a modern OTDR during optical or FTTx network training there is always the problem of what fiber to test. It isn't feasible to provide access to all possible combinations of fiber events and lengths during a training course. The virtual fiber is the answer to this dilemma, by adding events with user defined characteristics you can build a virtual fiber with any characteristics you require.

The Virtual Fiber is created by simply adding a series of individual events. The events characteristics such as attenuation in each direction and wavelength as well as length for the span and connector quality for the reflective events can be specified. Even the fiber IOR is configured and all creates a trace that is realistic in every way.
